RaysWeather.Com is owned and operated by Ray Russell, an Appalachian State University Computer Science professor. It was started when Ray's wife, Rhonda, gave him a weather station as a Christmas present in 1998. From that, Ray partnered with business across NW North Carolina to create a weather network of over 30 weather stations and, along with four other professional meteorologists, produces the most reliable weather forecast for the region.
